Mon Glucko - Diabète
The devices
As indicated previously, there are several types of blood glucose reading devices for diabetics, here I will present the one I use.
My device - Accu Chek® Mobile
Accu Check® Mobile from Roche is a blood glucose reading device by taking a drop of blood from the capillary. It consists of a pen to prick your finger and obtain a drop of blood to transfer onto the strip of the main device. The main device has a cassette where the strips are rolled up. Optionally, you can add the Bluetooth connection to the device. You will be able to connect your device to the "Mon Glucko" application to synchronize your blood sugar information.
CGM reading devices
Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) reading devices are devices used to monitor blood glucose levels in real time. They are particularly useful for people with diabetes, because they allow you to monitor changes in sugar levels throughout the day and night, without having to take regular injections.
Examples of CGM devices:
- Dexcom G6: Widely used, it offers continuous monitoring with reliable precision.
- Freestyle Libre 2: More affordable, it provides data via a scan but without the need for calibration .
- Medtronic Guardian Connect: Compatible with select insulin pumps and offers real-time control.
